The Minnesota Historical Society is waiving their entrance fees for more than 20 sites and museums on Saturday June 7, 2009. There are eight different venues open in the Twin Cities area, and a dozen more around the state. This is a great opportunity to introduce your family to Minnesota’s rich history and make a great 1-day staycation of the trip.
Sites in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area include: Historic Fort Snelling, Mill City Museum, Minnesota State Capitol, the James J. Hill House, Minnehaha Depot, Minnesota History Center, the Alexander Ramsey House, and the Sibley House Historical Site.
